At Winterton Primary School, we are in the lucky position of having a small growing garden in the Nursery and Key Stage 1 outdoor area, as well as a wildlife area with a small pond that is teeming with life.

We firmly believe that children gain many benefits from being involved in gardening projects; learning about where food comes from, how to be safe outdoors, working as a team, the value of planning and the importance of a healthy lifestyle to name a few. We are supported by members of the local community including both parents and governors, without whose help we would not be able to keep the gardens going.

If you would like to become involved in any of our gardening projects, please contact the school secretary or the head, using the ‘Contact Us’ link from the main menu.
