We are very proud of our school logo – the natterjack toad.

At Winterton Primary School and Nursery we strongly encourage school uniform as we believe it fosters a sense of belonging and sets high expectations in all areas of school life.

Our uniform consists of a royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan, white or pale blue polo shirt or school shirt and navy trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress.  A range of clothing embroidered with our school logo is available to order from the school secretary.

Children in years 3 to 6 wear our blue and yellow school tie.

Please remember that children need to change for PE, so clothing they can cope with is helpful for us all.

Our children  spend their mid-morning and lunch breaks outside, so shoes which are comfortable and safe for running around are essential – no high heels please!

Your child should have a tee-shirt, shorts and plimsoles for PE.  Clothing should be loose enough for ease of movement with no strings, buckles or sharp fastenings.  Slip on plimsolls are recommended, and a drawstring bag to keep them in.  Your child will need trainers and a tracksuit or a sweatshirt and jogging bottoms for outdoor games when the weather is colder.

Trainers must be worn on our trim trail and climbing wall.

PLEASE NAME ALL CLOTHING

Jewellery should not be worn, with the exception of watches and stud earrings. Ear piercing should be limited to a single hole in the lobe and a simple stud worn. This must be removed or taped up for P.E. lessons. Piercings of any other kind are not allowed.
